Autonomous Weeder Robot

Design a low-cost mobile robot with sensors (camera, LiDAR) to autonomously identify and remove weeds, reducing herbicide use and labor costs.

Requirements:

  • Design small mobile robot with sensors to distinguish crops from weeds.
  • Implement CV/ML for on-board weed vs plant detection.
  • Include weed-removal mechanism (mechanical arm or precision sprayer).
  • Must operate autonomously in a controlled field setup.

Evaluation:

  • Effectiveness: Accuracy in identifying/removing weeds.

Wildfire Warning Drone

Build a prototype sensor/drone network capable of detecting early fire signs (smoke, heat) and relaying alerts to a base station.
